After a week of using my Galaxy S25 Ultra naked, I finally caved and got the ZAGG Glass XTR4. The graphene-reinforced glass feels noticeably sturdier than my previous protectors - there's a satisfying 'thunk' when I tap the screen that screams durability.
The blue light filtering is where this protector shines (pun intended). As someone who doomscrolls before bed, I've noticed significantly less eye strain. The colors do pop more than expected - reds look particularly vibrant when watching HDR content. Though one user mentioned Samsung's anti-reflective coating being superior, I found this does well in direct sunlight during my morning commute.
Installation was shockingly easy with the EZ Apply tray. Unlike my usual screen protector ritual of swearing at dust particles, this went on perfectly on first try. The fingerprint scanner works flawlessly - no need to re-register prints like with some cheaper alternatives.
That said, at this price point, I agree with other reviewers that including just one protector feels stingy. The lifetime warranty helps justify the cost, but only if you remember to register (which they don't make obvious). While it survived multiple drops from pocket height during my testing, that controversial ball bearing test does make me question their marketing claims.
For those who want premium protection without installation headaches and don't mind paying for brand reputation, this delivers. But if you're budget-conscious, there are decent alternatives that offer similar basic protection at lower prices - just without the graphene bragging rights or color enhancement.
