Okay, so I finally caved and got this Verilux SmartLight floor lamp, and WOW – why didn't I buy this sooner?!

The full spectrum LED is no joke. My late-night reading sessions have gone from squinty-eyed struggles to crystal-clear comfort. Those 5 brightness levels? Perfect for when I'm winding down versus when I'm deep in a thriller novel.

Assembly was surprisingly easy (though that base is HEAVY – good for stability but had me doing some awkward lamp yoga during setup). The touch controls feel fancy, and the gooseneck lets me direct light exactly where I need it without any wobble.

As someone who gets headaches from harsh lighting, the flicker-free Optix lens makes a noticeable difference. And can we talk about the color temps? The daylight setting turns my craft table into a mini art studio!

Only minor gripes: The warmest setting leans slightly orange for my taste, and I wish it extended just a bit taller. But for the price? Absolute steal compared to those $$$ designer lamps.
