Okay, so I've been using this Outtag bike rack for about 3 weeks now, and here's the real tea ☕
First off - STURDY AF. Like, I loaded it with my heavy camera gear (about 15lbs) for birdwatching trips and it didn't even flinch. The aluminum alloy feels premium, not that cheap tinny stuff.
The installation? Took me like 10 minutes max. Came with all the tools needed (shoutout to that included Allen key!). The rubber pads are a nice touch - no annoying squeaks while riding.
BUT... (there's always a but) the adjustable range could be better. On my Giant hybrid bike, I wish it extended just 2 inches further back. Currently using it with a small backpack bungee-corded on top and it works perfectly though.
Pro tip: The slightly raised tail design ACTUALLY WORKS to keep stuff from sliding off. Tested this when I hit some gnarly potholes (thanks city roads).
Would I buy again? Hell yes - especially at this price point. Just measure your seatpost carefully first!
