I've been using the Koiiko wireless controller for a few weeks now, and it's been... interesting. The first thing I noticed was how lightweight it is - almost too light. While some might appreciate that (especially when paired with a heavy phone), it does make the controller feel a bit cheap and plasticky.
Setting it up was surprisingly easy though! It connected to my iPhone 15 instantly via Bluetooth, and I was playing Apple Arcade games within minutes. The spring grips hold my phone securely, even with its slim case on. I particularly enjoyed using it during my commute - games like Dead Cells and Brawlhalla felt way better with proper controls.
However, there are some serious drawbacks. The build quality concerns me - after just moderate use, I'm already noticing slight stick drift developing. Also, the Bluetooth connection can be finicky; sometimes it connects instantly, other times I have to manually reconnect through settings. And yes, you can't use Bluetooth headphones simultaneously with this controller, which is a bummer.
The turbo function works as advertised across different devices, and the vibration feedback (when supported) adds nice immersion. But would I recommend this? Only if you're looking for an affordable temporary solution or travel controller. For serious gaming sessions, you might want to invest in something more durable.
