Just got these Moodeng basketball shoes for my son who plays in Special Olympics. The ankle support design is PERFECT for him - high enough to stabilize but open at the back so he doesn't feel trapped (huge win for sensory issues!).

The color matched his team uniform perfectly (major bonus points) and the breathable upper keeps his feet comfortable during games. He usually hates socks/shoes touching his ankles, but these passed the test!

BUT... we did notice the grip isn't amazing on court. My son said he slid a bit during quick movements. Also, while the ankle coverage works for his needs, I wouldn't recommend these for serious basketball players needing maximum protection.

Overall? Great casual/light sports shoe that looks slick (his teammates thought they looked like Kobe's!), but competitive players might want more traction.
