After putting the Kawasaki Badminton Racket Set through its paces for several weeks, I've got to say - this set punches above its weight class. The graphite shafts make these rackets noticeably lighter than my old aluminum ones, giving me quicker reaction times during intense rallies.
The included feather shuttlecocks are a nice touch - they fly much more predictably than the plastic ones you typically find in budget sets. I especially appreciated this when playing outdoors where wind can be a factor.
Where these really shine is in their build quality. Unlike some cheaper rackets that feel like they might snap on a powerful smash, these maintain their rigidity while still offering enough flex for good control. The T-joint construction adds noticeable stability that I could feel on off-center hits.
The grips deserve special mention - they're comfortable right out of the package and the included overgrips let me customize the thickness to my preference. This attention to detail is something I usually only see in more expensive rackets.
That said, serious players will notice limitations. The string tension is definitely on the low side (around 20 lbs), which reduces power for advanced shots. While you could restring them, the frames might not handle higher tensions as well as premium rackets.
The carrying case is functional but basic - it does the job but don't expect premium padding or compartments. Also worth noting - despite the Kawasaki branding, these are made in China like most sporting goods these days.
For beginners or casual players looking for quality without breaking the bank, this set delivers excellent value. They're durable enough for regular use yet perform well above their price point. Just don't expect tournament-level performance from what is essentially an entry-level set.
