Let me start by saying this windshield cleaner kit looks promising at first glance with its colorful microfiber pads and extendable handle. I was excited to try it on my SUV's massive windshield, but reality hit quickly during testing.
The extendable handle is genuinely useful - it reaches about 16 inches when fully extended, making it easy to clean high spots without straining. The 180° swivel head works as advertised, allowing good maneuverability around curved windows. These are definite pros for this product.
However, the microfiber pads are disappointing. They're much smaller than expected and require excessive stretching to fit over the cleaning head. During my test cleaning a bathroom mirror (before even trying it on my car), the pad left red lint everywhere - not what you want when cleaning glass surfaces!
The included spray bottle is a nice touch, but I found myself reaching for Windex instead. When using with Windex, it did clean effectively... aside from the lint issue. The handle's comfortable grip makes the physical act of cleaning easy, but you'll likely need to follow up with another cloth to remove the fibers left behind.
For vehicle use, I'd recommend thicker aftermarket microfiber pads - the included ones simply aren't up to par for serious car cleaning. It might work better for quick interior touch-ups rather than full windshield cleaning sessions.
Final verdict? A decent concept with poor execution on the most important part - the cleaning surface itself. With better quality pads, this could be great, but as-is, it's more frustrating than helpful for serious car care.
