Okay, so I bought this coloring book on a whim because my 8-year-old nephew won't stop talking about 'vroom vroom cars'. Turns out, it's a hit with EVERYONE in the family!
The illustrations are seriously detailed - like, you can see individual engine parts and chrome detailing. Each page has cool little historical facts too ('Did you know the 1969 Camaro had hideaway headlights?'). My nephew colors them while my dad (who actually owned some of these cars) tells stories.
Pro tip: The paper quality is thick enough that markers don't bleed through. We made photocopies like another reviewer suggested - genius move for obsessive re-colorers!
Funny story: My artsy sister tried to 'modernize' a 1970 Mustang with neon colors. Let's just say there were strong opinions at family dinner...
Whether you're a car nut or just sick of coloring flowers (guilty!), this book delivers serious old-school cool. Even my cat seems intrigued when I'm coloring - probably the only time she's shown interest in anything besides treats.
