After two months with the Mi Band 7, I can confidently say this little tracker punches above its weight. The 1.62" AMOLED screen is shockingly crisp for the price - way better than my old $100 fitness band. I catch myself staring at the animated watch faces more than I'd like to admit.
The health tracking works surprisingly well during my morning runs. It automatically detects when I start jogging (though I still manually activate workout mode for proper heart rate tracking). The post-workout breakdown showing my VO2 Max and recovery time has become addictive - even if I'm not sure how accurate it is, watching the numbers improve keeps me motivated.
Battery life blew me away. With continuous heart rate monitoring and about 30 minutes of GPS workouts daily, I get a solid 5 days. When I forgot my charger on a weekend trip, Battery Saver mode actually lasted the claimed 14 days just tracking steps and sleep.
The Zepp Life app integration is where this shines. Being able to quick-reply to texts with pre-set messages while cycling (without touching my phone) feels premium. The remote camera control has saved multiple group photos where I'm usually stuck being the photographer.
My only real complaint? No auto-brightness means some awkward squinting when checking notifications in bright sunlight until I manually adjust it. But for under $50? This might be the best value fitness tracker on the market right now.
