I was excited to try these black sticky notes because, let's be real, they look super sleek compared to the usual bright colors. The 3x3 size is perfect for quick reminders, and the pack of 6 pads seemed like a great deal.
The paper quality is actually nice—smooth and thick enough that my pen ink doesn't bleed through. Writing on black paper with a white gel pen feels oddly satisfying, like I'm drafting secret agent memos.
But here's the big issue: the stickiness (or lack thereof). These notes barely cling to surfaces. I stuck one on my monitor, and it curled up at the edges within minutes. Even pressing firmly didn't help much—they'd still peel off by themselves after a while.
I tried using them in different places—fridge, notebook cover, office wall—but unless the surface was perfectly smooth and dust-free, they'd fall off. It's frustrating when you're trying to leave an important note for your roommate about rent money, only to find it on the floor later.
They do remove cleanly though (when they actually stick in the first place). No residue left behind, which is a plus if you're worried about damaging surfaces.
Overall? Cool aesthetic, disappointing performance. If you just need them for temporary desk notes that you'll remove soon after writing, they might work. But for anything more serious? You might want to look elsewhere or keep some tape handy.
