Just finished 'Tell Me Everything' and wow, Elizabeth Strout does it again! The way she weaves ordinary lives into something extraordinary is pure magic. Each character feels like someone you've known forever—flaws and all.
I have to admit, the 'Oh, [Name]!' thing got a bit repetitive (seriously, Elizabeth, we get it!), but that's a tiny nitpick in an otherwise masterpiece. The emotional depth had me clutching my Kindle at 2am like 'just one more chapter...'
What struck me most was how this book makes you want to really listen to people. Not just hear them, but properly listen. There's this quiet scene where Lucy and Bob are walking that made me tear up—it's these simple moments that Strout elevates into something profound.
If you're looking for action-packed plot twists, this isn't it. But if you want characters who'll crawl into your heart and take up permanent residence? Oh honey (see what I did there?), this is your next read.
PS: That murder mystery subplot? Didn't see that coming in a literary fiction novel! Strout keeps surprising me even after all these books.
