Okay, so I've been using these Henreepow Ni-MH batteries for my garden solar lights for about 3 months now, and here's the real tea:
First off - the price is AMAZING for a 12-pack. Like seriously, way cheaper than constantly buying disposables. The initial performance was great - my pathway lights actually got brighter than with the old batteries!
But... (there's always a but right?) Some things to know:
1. They arrive only partially charged (about 30%) so you MUST charge them fully before first use. I learned this the hard way when my lights died after just 2 hours on night one.
2. The charging thing is weird - they work with solar charging BUT you really need to drain them completely before recharging for best results. Kinda annoying to manage tbh.
3. Mixed bag on longevity - some of mine are still going strong after months, but two batteries already seem to hold less charge. Maybe quality control issue?
Pro tip: Mark your calendar to recharge every 3 months even if not using them! This really does help maintain battery life.
Final verdict? Solid budget option if you're willing to baby them a bit. Not perfect, but at this price point I'll probably buy again!
