Just got my hands on these Tenergy AAA batteries (100-pack) and wanted to share my thoughts after testing them in various devices.
First off, the price-to-performance ratio is insane. For basic stuff like TV remotes, wall clocks, and kids' toys, they work just as well as Duracell/Energizer at half the cost. No leaks so far after 3 months of use!
Ran some real-world tests:
- In low-drain devices: Lasts about as long as premium brands (got 6+ months in my kitchen clock)
- In trail cameras: Not ideal - lasted only 1-2 weeks vs 4 weeks with Rayovac when temps dropped below freezing
- Capacity tests showed ~950mAh at 100mA discharge - decent but slightly less than Exide's 1050mAh
The packaging was a mess though - box arrived torn with batteries loose inside. Had to count all 100 to make sure none were missing (they weren't, but still annoying).
Final verdict? Perfect for household gadgets where you need bulk cheap batteries that won't leak. Wouldn't recommend for high-drain or extreme temperature situations. At this price point though? Absolute steal for casual use.
