Okay, so I've been using these Shengbowi butt connectors for a few weeks now, and here's the real tea ☕
First off - that ratcheting crimper is a GAME CHANGER. My old crimpers were basically glorified pliers that destroyed every connection. These actually lock until you get a proper crimp. No more guessing games!
The connectors themselves? Pretty standard but they get the job done. The colored PVC makes it easy to sort sizes (yellow/blue/red gang where you at?). Though fair warning - they're not heat shrinkable like I first thought.
Used them for some automotive wiring and they held up surprisingly well. That flared design really does help with wire insertion (unlike some other brands where you fight to get wires in).
Only complaint? The crimper could use a built-in wire stripper. Having to switch tools gets annoying when you're in the zone.
For the price? Solid 4/5 stars from me. Not perfect but way better than the cheap stuff at hardware stores.
