Let’s talk about something we all wear but rarely discuss: underwear. Specifically, the Lucky Brand Men’s Boxer Shorts. I’ve been wearing these for a few weeks now, and honestly? They’ve ruined me for other brands.
The first thing you’ll notice is how stupidly soft they are. It’s like they took the concept of ‘comfort’ and cranked it up to 11. The knit fabric feels premium against your skin – no itching, no irritation, just pure coziness. I wore them on a cross-country flight recently and didn’t have that awful ‘I need to peel these off immediately’ feeling when I landed.
The waistband deserves its own shoutout. It’s thicker than what you find on cheap boxers, but not in a bulky way. More like it actually stays where it should without digging in or rolling down. My favorite pair has survived multiple gym sessions without any stretching out or losing shape.
Size-wise, they run slightly smaller than typical department store brands (think IZOD). I usually wear Medium in most brands but these fit perfectly true-to-size for me at 32” waist. They offer enough room to move without being baggy – that sweet spot between ‘constricting briefs’ and ‘flappy old man boxers.’
At about $10 per pair in the 4-pack, they hit that price point where you feel like you upgraded your underwear game without breaking the bank. After washing them half a dozen times? Still as soft as day one with no pilling or fading yet.
If I had to nitpick? The patterns are pretty basic. But when something feels this good, I don’t really care if they have anchors or not (though that would be cool). These are now my daily drivers – from workdays to lazy Sundays.
