When I first unboxed the INNOD storage rack, I was surprised by its actual size—way bigger than the listed dimensions (7"D x 11"W x 6"H vs. the advertised 3"D x 5"W x 4"H). It’s a good thing, though, because my makeup brushes and nail polishes finally have a dedicated spot instead of cluttering my tiny dorm desk.
Assembly was a breeze—just snap the four pillars into place. But here’s the catch: the two shelves don’t actually lock together. The top piece just... sits there. It wobbles if I bump my desk, which happens more often than I’d like during late-night study sessions. I ended up using a dab of glue to stabilize it, and now it holds my skincare bottles without threatening to topple over.
The design choice baffles me—the lower shelf has dividers (great for organizing pens or lipsticks), but why not put it on top where it’s more accessible? Flipping it isn’t an option either—the lack of a proper lip makes it unstable. For $16, I expected sturdier plastic or at least interlocking parts.
Still, it’s doing its job. My acrylic organizers fit perfectly on the upper tier, and the white finish blends nicely with my minimalist setup. Just don’t overload it—this isn’t the shelf for heavy books or kitchen appliances.
