Okay, so I just finished 'One Day in December' and WOW. This book had me feeling ALL the emotions. From that first magical bus-stop moment to the final page, I was completely hooked.
The characters felt so real - Laurie's awkwardness, Jack's charm, Sarah's loyalty. I swear I know these people in real life! The way their relationships evolved over ten years was messy and beautiful and painfully relatable.
What I loved most? This isn't your typical insta-love story. The slow burn had me screaming 'JUST KISS ALREADY' at my book multiple times (my neighbors probably think I'm crazy). But the payoff was SO worth it.
Fair warning: keep tissues nearby. There were moments that absolutely wrecked me (in the best way). That wedding scene? OOF. My heart couldn't take it.
Perfect read for winter nights, but honestly I'd recommend this any time of year. 10/10 would ugly-cry over this book again.
