Let me start by saying this Dreo space heater is a BEAST when it comes to heating power. I was shocked (not literally) by how quickly it warmed up my home office - we're talking toasty warmth in under 2 minutes. The 1500W setting is like having a personal sun, while the 1100W mode provides perfect background warmth.
The oscillation feature is where things get interesting. It swings smoothly like a metronome, covering every corner of my medium-sized bedroom. Though I did notice what other reviewers mentioned - the remote control has serious commitment issues. You basically need to stand right next to the heater for it to work, which defeats the purpose somewhat.
Design-wise, it's surprisingly stylish for a space heater. The brushed copper accents make it look more expensive than it is. At about 30 inches tall with both extension poles attached, it's the Goldilocks of heaters - not too big, not too small. Though that short power cord (seriously, only 42 inches?) means you'll be playing musical outlets.
Now for the quirks: The fan noise is noticeable but in a 'white noise machine' kind of way that I actually find soothing. However, mine developed an odd shutdown habit after prolonged use - turns out this seems to be a common issue according to other reviews.
Safety features work as advertised though! My cat knocked it over once and it immediately shut off (cat was unimpressed with this safety feature). The tip-over protection and overheating sensors give me peace of mind when using it overnight.
Would I recommend it? With caveats. If you need serious heat fast and can live with some eccentricities (and that darn short cord), it's worth considering. Just don't expect whisper-quiet operation or flawless remote functionality.
