Okay, so I finally got my hands on the Fujifilm Instax Mini 40 and here's the tea ☕️ First off, that silver retro design? *Chef's kiss* It looks so much classier than those candy-colored Instax cameras. Feels solid too!
The one-touch selfie mode is genius - just pull the lens out (took me embarrassingly long to figure that out). The little mirror helps, but heads up: the viewfinder is slightly off. Aim a bit up and to the right for perfect framing.
Photo quality is... well, it's Polaroid. Don't expect DSLR sharpness - you're paying for that nostalgic, slightly dreamy look. Though warning: in bright light, photos can get blown out since you can't turn off the flash (my black cat became a glowing orb in one shot 😅).
Major plus? Watching faces light up when I hand them physical photos at parties. As a bartender, this has been my secret weapon for creating instant souvenirs!
Downsides? Film cartridges hurt my wallet, and changing them mid-event is annoying. Also wish there was an exposure adjustment - some wedding pics came out too dark.
Verdict? If you want perfect pics, get a digital camera. But if you crave tangible memories with vintage charm (and don't mind the quirks), this little gem delivers the fun!
