Just got these Baofeng T26 walkie talkies and I'm pretty impressed for what you pay. Here's my honest take after using them for a week:
The slim design is awesome - they're so lightweight I forget they're on my belt. The Type-C charging is a nice modern touch too.
Range is better than expected! Got about 3/4 mile in my suburban neighborhood before static kicked in. Way better than those toy walkie talkies I had as a kid.
Battery life seems solid - used them for about 6 hours straight during a hiking trip and they held up fine. The earpieces could be more comfortable though - my ears started hurting after an hour.
Durability feels questionable... dropped one from waist height and it survived, but I wouldn't trust these on a construction site. For casual use though? Perfect.
Biggest surprise? The channel dial actually announces the channel number out loud! Super handy when you're wearing gloves or it's dark.
Would I buy again? Absolutely - especially at this price point. Just don't expect military-grade toughness.
