Just got my hands on the Batman: Year One 4K edition, and wow—this is how you do an animated Batman movie right!
The animation stays super faithful to the graphic novel, which I absolutely love. The gritty, urban vibe totally nails Batman's early days.
The 4K upgrade? Definitely worth it. The blacks are deep, shadows are crisp, and neon lights pop like crazy with HDR. Not a 'demo disc,' but the color grading makes it shine.
Sound got a nice boost too! Dialogue is clear, and punches hit harder. The included Blu-ray has great extras—perfect for collectors.
Only gripe? It’s short (just over an hour). Also, heads-up: some folks had issues with damaged cases or expired digital codes (mine was fine though).
If you love Batman’s origin stories, this is a must-have—just maybe wait for a sale since it’s pricey for the runtime.
