Let me start by saying these shoes surprised me. When I first slipped them on, the rounded toe box felt like a hug for my feet - no pinching or squeezing! The 1.97" block heel is that Goldilocks height: tall enough to feel dressed up but short enough that I can actually walk in them all day at the office.
The lace-up design is cute but here's the real talk - they're a pain to take off quickly. I learned this the hard way when running late for meetings. The synthetic material looks decent (got compliments at brunch!) but does feel plasticky when you touch it. They run true to size though - my usual size fit perfectly after some breaking in.
My biggest gripe? The soles. On hardwood floors, I nearly did an accidental ice skating routine. They desperately need more traction. Also, zero arch support - my feet were screaming after 6 hours of wear. I fixed this with some insoles, but at this price point, they should come with decent support.
Would I buy again? For occasional wear when I want that vintage look? Absolutely. As everyday work shoes? Not so much. They're like that cute but slightly problematic friend - great in small doses!
