Let me start by saying this: if you're a fan of gothic horror that creeps under your skin rather than jumps out at you, Nosferatu - Extended Cut is a must-have. The film's atmosphere is thick with dread, and the 4K transfer? Absolutely stunning. The monochromatic visuals pop with rich detail, making every shadow feel alive.
The vampire here isn't your typical Dracula—he’s more like a terrifying grandfather with a voice that’ll give you chills. The acting is top-notch, and the sets? Pure gothic perfection. But be warned: this is an R-rated film for its graphic scenes, not language.
Now, the Extended Cut vs. theatrical—both are worth watching. The extended version adds depth to the characters, but the theatrical cut tightens the pacing. And yes, the lack of German accents for German characters is baffling (and distracting), but it’s a minor gripe in an otherwise flawless film.
The Blu-ray deal on Amazon was great, but I’m eyeing the 4K version next—this movie deserves a big-screen treatment. Just be cautious with shipping; my copy arrived damaged (thanks, Amazon). Still, if you love slow-burn horror steeped in folklore and dread, this belongs in your collection.
