I've been wearing these polarized aviator sunglasses for about a month now, and they've become my go-to for daily errands. The first thing I noticed was how incredibly lightweight they are - sometimes I forget I'm even wearing them! While they don't have that premium heft of expensive brands, this actually makes them more comfortable for all-day wear.
The polarization works surprisingly well. During my morning commute, the glare from car windshields practically disappears. I did the monitor test mentioned in one review - watching my computer screen fade to black as I rotated the glasses was pretty cool confirmation that the polarization is real.
I will say the frames feel delicate - they bent slightly when I accidentally sat on them (oops!). But a gentle adjustment with my fingers fixed them right up. For the price, I didn't expect tank-like durability, but they've held up better than expected through regular use.
The rubber nose pads are a standout feature. Even after hours of wear, there's no uncomfortable pressure point on my nose like with some cheaper sunglasses. They stay put during activities without pinching - perfect for when I'm out walking my dog or driving with the windows down.
Are these going to last a lifetime? Probably not. But as someone who constantly misplaces sunglasses, having affordable pairs that look good and function well is perfect. They've become my 'don't mind if I lose them' favorites for beach days and outdoor concerts where expensive shades might get damaged.
