But here’s my petty gripe: how is Reacher STILL clueless about technology? Dude’s been out of the army for ages. At this point, his Luddite schtick feels less charming and more like a plot crutch. Also, the FBI’s decisions in this book had me side-eyeing my Kindle. Like… really?

That said, the father-son writing duo delivered some fresh energy. The scam storyline was convoluted in the best way—think ‘Ocean’s Eleven’ meets ‘Jason Bourne.’ And can we talk about that midnight fight scene? *chef’s kiss*
