I recently installed the AP240 ceiling-mounted WiFi access point in my home office, and overall, it's been a reliable addition to my network. The setup was straightforward—I followed the instructions (yes, actually read them!) and had it up and running in minutes. The dual-band speeds are impressive, especially for the price, and I’ve noticed a significant improvement in coverage compared to my old router.
One thing that stood out was the seamless roaming feature. Moving between rooms no longer causes annoying drops or buffering, which is a huge plus for video calls and streaming. The MU-MIMO support also means multiple devices can connect without slowing each other down—my laptop, phone, and smart TV all run smoothly.
That said, there are a few quirks. The build quality feels a bit flimsy, and I’m not entirely convinced it would hold up in a harsh environment despite the advertised protections. Also, while the range is decent, it’s not as strong as some higher-end models—I noticed a slight drop in signal at the far end of my backyard.
The PoE power option is fantastic for clean installation (no messy cables), but I did have to tweak the subnet settings to avoid conflicts with my existing network. Not a dealbreaker, but something to be aware of if you’re not tech-savvy.
For the price, though, this is a solid choice for small businesses or homes needing better coverage without breaking the bank. Just don’t expect enterprise-grade performance.
