Okay, so I finally got around to reading Martin Li's 'How to Write Better' and wow - this is like finding a cheat code for writing!
The book breaks everything down into bite-sized pieces without making me feel dumb. Whether you're a pro or just starting out (like me when I first got into freelancing), the tips are actually useful.
What really stood out? The examples of what NOT to do. Like when he shows cringe-worthy intros versus compelling ones - suddenly all my past writing mistakes became painfully obvious.
The word confusion list at the end? Absolute gold. I've been using 'effect' and 'affect' wrong my whole life and nobody bothered to tell me until now!
Only gripe? The ebook version has some weird formatting issues. But the content is solid enough that I'm willing to overlook it.
Seriously, if you write anything - emails, articles, even social media posts - this book will level up your game. It's already earned a permanent spot on my desk between my coffee mug and stress ball.
