Okay, so I finally caved and bought this silicone baking mat after seeing it everywhere on baking TikTok - and OMG why didn't I get this sooner?!
The non-stick surface is legit magical. I made sugar cookies last weekend and the dough just slid right off like it was afraid of commitment. No more flour explosions all over my kitchen!
That grippy bottom though? Game changer. My old mat used to slide around like it was trying to escape, but this one stays put like it's glued down (but it's not, promise).
Cleaning is stupid easy - just rinse under warm water and boom, done. Though pro tip: don't let sticky dough dry on it (learned that the hard way with some sourdough).
The measurements printed on the sides are actually useful?? Like who knew having inches AND centimeters would make me feel so fancy and European while baking?
Only downside: It's kinda big when folded (like my enthusiasm for baking shows vs actual baking skills). But it fits in my drawer if I roll it tight enough.
10/10 would recommend to anyone who bakes more than twice a year (or just wants to look like they know what they're doing in the kitchen).
