I recently installed the Trushome doorbell mount for my Ring Video Doorbell, and it's been a mixed experience. The adjustable angle feature is definitely the star here—being able to tilt it vertically and horizontally (though not quite the advertised 70°) helped eliminate blind spots on my porch. The foam pads included were a nice touch for extra stability, even if they weren't mentioned in the instructions.
Installation was straightforward—no manual needed, honestly. The included screwdriver got the job done, though I did swap out the screws for slightly longer ones to ensure a snug fit. However, I skipped the bulky outer case entirely—it made my sleek Ring doorbell look like it was wearing an oversized raincoat. Mounting directly onto the bracket worked perfectly.
My biggest gripe? The 'anti-theft' claim is laughable. Anyone with a basic screwdriver could walk off with this in seconds. Also, while the angle adjustment is useful, it's not as secure as I'd like—a strong wind (or curious neighbor) could easily knock it out of position.
For $20, it solves my viewing angle issues but feels cheaper than expected. If you can live without the case and want basic adjustability, it's functional—just don't expect premium security or aesthetics.
