So I got this PNGKNYOCN battery housing for my bike light setup, and honestly... it's a mixed bag. Here's the real deal:
• The waterproof case feels sturdy and the velcro mounting is super convenient - no complaints there. But the voltage drop? Yikes. Even with big capacity batteries, the 5V USB output dipped to 4V crazy fast when drawing 2 amps.
• My main issue? The 8.4V output for my bike light isn't regulated AT ALL. It immediately dropped to 7.2V, which makes my light (that shuts off at 7V) basically useless for any decent ride duration.
• Weird design choice - the power switch only controls the USB output. The DC port stays live constantly, which seems like a safety hazard if you ask me.
• The power indicators are nice in theory, but they don't work when charging (??). Also got some weird flickering with partial loads that makes me question the circuitry quality.
Final verdict? It arrived fast and technically 'works', but for serious cycling use? Nah. Back to searching for something that actually maintains stable voltage output...
