Okay, so I've been using this Pennington bird seed for a few weeks now and WOW - my backyard has turned into a bird rave! Cardinals, finches, even some fancy little guys I had to Google (turns out they're indigo buntings?).
The good stuff first: The birds go absolutely nuts for this mix. Like, they'll fight over it. The blend of real fruits and nuts seems to be some kind of avian crack. I've never seen so many different species hanging out together.
Now the not-so-great: Sunflower seed shells EVERYWHERE. My patio looks like a bird frat house after party night. Also heads up - Amazon shipped mine with some heavy items and the bag arrived looking like it went through a wrestling match.
Pro tip: If you get this, maybe put down a tarp or something underneath your feeder unless you want to host an impromptu squirrel/chipmunk buffet on your lawn.
Price-wise it's not the cheapest, but seeing my yard turn into Bird TikTok makes it worth it. Just maybe don't order it with fragile stuff!
