Alright, so I finally got my hands on these YNF smart plugs (4-pack) and here’s the tea ☕.
First off, the setup was surprisingly easy. Like, under two minutes easy. The Smart Life app is straightforward, and once connected, controlling devices remotely is a breeze. No more panicking about leaving the iron on!
But… here’s the big BUT. These plugs are CHONKY. If you’re using a double outlet (which, let’s be real, most of us are), forget about using the second socket. It’s like they designed these to hog all the space. My old square plugs at least let me use the other outlet—these? Nope.
Voice control is hit or miss. One plug connected to Alexa after some struggle (why??), but the others refused to cooperate. And don’t get me started on SmartThings—total fail. I consider myself tech-savvy, but these had me questioning my life choices.
Oh, and quality control seems… questionable. Out of four plugs, only one connected reliably. The rest? Paperweights destined for e-waste hell. At least one reviewer couldn’t even get a refund—yikes.
On the bright side: when they work, they’re great! Timer functions, grouping devices—all handy features. And hey, they’re cheap! But if you want consistency? Maybe look elsewhere.
TL;DR: Budget-friendly but inconsistent. Great when they work, frustrating when they don’t.
