As someone who constantly loses screws mid-project, these magnetic trays seemed like a dream solution. The vibrant red, blue, and green colors immediately caught my eye – perfect for sorting metric vs SAE bolts during my motorcycle repairs.
The collapsible silicone design is genuinely brilliant. When folded flat, all three trays take up less space than a single coffee mug in my toolbox. During use, the 2" depth provides enough room for a handful of M6 bolts without spillage.
However, the magnetic strength is disappointing. While testing on my garage workbench, the tray slid right off when I bumped it lightly. Unlike other magnetic trays that can hold tools upside down, these barely keep small washers in place when tilted at 45 degrees.
The rubber-coated base does protect surfaces beautifully though – no scratches when moving them across my bike's fuel tank. Cleaning is effortless; grease wipes right off the silicone material.
For light DIY tasks where you're working on a flat surface, these work adequately. But if you need serious magnetic holding power (like when working under a car), you'll want to look elsewhere despite the appealing color-coding system.
