Okay, so I finally got my hands on the Children of the Corn 4K Blu-ray, and wow—this thing is a time capsule of terror. First off, the HD upgrade? *Chef’s kiss.* The cornfields have never looked so eerily crisp.
I last saw this on VHS as a kid (yes, I’m dating myself), and let me tell you, rewatching it as an adult hits different. The whole ‘murderous cult kids’ thing? Still unsettling. John Franklin as Isaac? Iconic. That little dude’s voice alone gives me chills.
The special features are *chef’s kiss* too—interviews with Linda Hamilton, behind-the-scenes tidbits, and even the OG commentary track. Anchor Bay did NOT skimp. Meanwhile, that barebones Midnight Madness reissue? Hard pass.
Also, PSA: Never trust a cornfield. Ever. Thanks for the lifelong phobia, Stephen King.
5/5 stars for the film, 10/10 for traumatizing me all over again in glorious 4K.
