Okay, so I finally got my hands on this vintage pearl brooch everyone's been raving about. First impression? GORGEOUS. The floral filigree design with those dainty pearl drops is giving major old Hollywood vibes.
The weight feels substantial (maybe too heavy for thin fabrics though). The clasp is surprisingly secure - no constant fear of losing it like some flimsy pins I've owned. Love how it dresses up both my work blazers and weekend dresses.
BUT... (and this hurts to say) the craftsmanship isn't perfect. Up close, you can spot some uneven edges and rough spots that make it look cheaper than it actually is. For the price point, I expected better finishing touches.
That said, from normal viewing distance? Absolute stunner. Received multiple compliments at a wedding last weekend. Just maybe don't let people inspect it too closely!
