Okay, so here’s the deal—I’m a console hoarder (Xbox One X, Series X, Switch, and maybe a PS5 soon). My Astro A50 Gen 3 is my baby, but the Series X killed my optical audio setup. Cue the panic.

Enter this little black box. Plugged it into my HDMI chain (console → switcher → this thing → PC → monitor), and BOOM—optical audio is back! No buzz, no nonsense. It even plays nice with my janky switcher setup.
