Okay, so I finally caved and bought this Adowes floating nightstand after weeks of debating. Here's the real tea ☕️
First impression? The whitewash finish is... interesting. It's got that 'I tried to be rustic but my heart wasn't in it' vibe. You can totally see the wood grain peeking through, which I actually ended up loving after my mini DIY project.
Assembly was stupid easy - like 'I didn't even yell at the instructions' easy. Pro tip: use your own drill if you have one. The included screws are fine, but who has time for manual labor in 2023?
Space-wise? Perfect for my tiny apartment bedroom. Holds my Kindle, water bottle, and phone charger with room to spare. Wouldn't try stacking encyclopediums on it though - this isn't that kind of relationship.
The floating design is GENIUS for cleaning. No more awkward vacuum maneuvers around clunky furniture legs!
Would I buy again? Absolutely - especially after seeing how much floor space it freed up. Just maybe not as a gift unless I know the person likes DIY projects.
