Let me start by saying these JOR veggie clips have been a lifesaver for my betta tank. The transparent design is genius – it blends seamlessly with my aquarium setup without being an eyesore. I clip blanched zucchini slices onto them, and my fish go absolutely nuts! The suction holds strong (even when my curious pleco tugs at the veggies), and I love how I can rotate the clips to position food at different levels.
However – and this is a big however – two of my clips snapped at the hinge within a month. For a product meant to withstand constant wet/dry cycles, that's disappointing. Also, while they stick beautifully to glass, the suction fails miserably on acrylic tanks (learned that the hard way).
The versatility is impressive though. Beyond fish food, I use the spare clips to hold water test strips against my tank glass for easy reading. At $X for four, they're affordable enough that replacing broken ones doesn't hurt too much.
Pro tip: Soak new clips in tank water for 24 hours before first use – it makes the plastic more flexible and less prone to cracking. And always have spares on hand because when these work (which is most of the time), they're absolute game-changers for natural feeding routines.
