I've been using the Konvixon 11PCS Wood Carving Disc Set for about a month now, and it's completely transformed how I approach woodworking projects. The variety of discs means I can go from rough shaping to fine detailing without switching tools.
The upgraded wood grinding wheels are my favorite - they bite into the wood aggressively but predictably. I recently used the curved disc to hollow out a wooden bowl, and it removed material so efficiently I finished in half the time it would normally take with chisels.
That convex 12-toothed shaping disc is magical. It produces these whisper-thin shavings that curl up like ribbon candy. I used it to shape some chair legs, and the control was incredible - no grabby surprises like you get with some aggressive discs.
The flap wheels (both grits) have become my go-to for finishing. They're stiff enough to maintain shape under pressure but flexible enough to conform to curves. I sanded an entire live-edge table with them last weekend - zero swirl marks.
About that chainsaw disc... yeah, it stays in the box. Even after watching tutorials, I can't bring myself to use what looks like a circular saw blade on steroids. Maybe for very controlled cuts with the grinder mounted, but freehand? No thanks.
The included wrench and adapter rings have been lifesavers when switching between my different grinders. No more hunting for tools mid-project.
After using these on everything from soft pine to hard maple, they show minimal wear. The carbon steel construction seems solid - no broken teeth or bent edges despite some accidental drops onto concrete.
Would I recommend these? Absolutely, but with two caveats: wear ALL your safety gear (these throw chips like a machine gun), and maybe skip that chainsaw disc unless you're braver than me.
