Just upgraded to the Ryzen 9 9950X and wow, this thing is an absolute monster! Coming from a 5950X, I wasn't sure if I'd notice much difference, but boy was I wrong.
The first thing that blew me away was how cool it runs with my Arctic Liquid Freezer III (considering all the 'AM5 runs hot' rumors). During heavy renders, it barely crosses 80°C before settling back to the mid-60s. For a 16-core beast, that's insane!
Gaming performance? Surprisingly great! I'm pulling 160-200 FPS in Delta Force while simultaneously streaming in 1440p. My old setup would've choked trying to do half of that.
The only downside? My wallet is still crying. But for serious creators who also game, this might just be the perfect 'do-it-all' chip. Just don't cheap out on cooling!
Pro tip: If you're doing workstation tasks, manually assigning core affinities makes a HUGE difference. Saw my throughput jump from +50% to 2.6x over my old 5800X3D!
