First impressions? The ZGR fake grass arrived tightly rolled, which unfortunately flattened the fibers. Even after vacuuming, it didn't quite spring back to that lush look shown in product photos. Kinda felt like I was unboxing second-hand turf.
On the plus side, this stuff is crazy lightweight and easy to maneuver. I cut mine into funky shapes for a balcony makeover project - scissors went through like butter! The drainage holes actually work too - no puddles after heavy rain.
Don't expect cushioning though. When I tried using it under a kiddie slide on concrete, it might as well have been paper. My neighbor's dogs seem to love lounging on theirs though - go figure!
The UV protection seems legit after two months in direct sunlight (still green!), but it does get HOT in peak summer. Pro tip: Not ideal for barefoot playtime at noon.
Final verdict? Great for decorative purposes or chicken coops (seriously, multiple reviewers swear by this!), but don't expect premium lawn simulation. For the price though, it's a decent low-maintenance green fix.
