Let me start by saying this pump is NOT your average electric breast pump. The tongue-simulation technology is legitimately unique – it mimics a baby’s natural suckling pattern in a way that made my let-down reflex happen faster than with my Medela. I noticed significantly less nipple soreness compared to other pumps, which was huge for me as someone with sensitive skin.
The adjustable silicone shields (18-24mm) were comfortable, though I wish they included larger sizes in the box. The night light feature? Lifesaver during those 3 AM pumping sessions when I didn’t want to turn on bright lights and fully wake up.
Now the not-so-great parts: This thing is HEAVY. Like ‘your-arm-gets-tired-after-10-minutes’ heavy. The single-pump design means double the time if you need to empty both breasts – a major drawback when you’re sleep-deprived and counting every minute of rest. At $200 for just one pump, it stings when competitors offer double pumps for less.
Performance-wise, results vary wildly. For me, it extracted more milk than my Spectra (about 1-2oz extra per session), but friends who need hospital-grade suction hated it. The rechargeable battery lasting 2 hours is decent, though I wish it had more power.
Bottom line: If you respond well to gentle stimulation rather than strong suction and don’t mind single-pumping, this could be revolutionary. For power pumpers or those needing hands-free operation, look elsewhere.
