Living in a rural area with higher theft rates, I needed serious surveillance. After a tire-slashing incident, I went all-in with the ANNKE 8-camera system. The setup? Two DIY surveillance towers (hardest part), but ANNKE made the rest a breeze—plug-and-play cables, crisp 5MP clarity, and night vision that actually hits 100ft (though some say 50ft—YMMV).
The human/vehicle detection is a game-changer. No more false alarms from raccoons or swaying branches. But fair warning: if you want alerts for coyotes or horses, you’ll also get pinged by every passing moth (thanks, ‘Smart Events’ limitations).
Love: The app’s remote access (bank-level encryption FTW), recycled materials, and DVR reliability. Hate: The vertical 9:16 video format (why, ANNKE?) and documentation thinner than my patience at 3AM bird-alert spams.
Verdict? For the price, it’s a steal—unless you need Hollywood-level zoom or hate surprise bee documentaries.
