Let me start by saying I was genuinely excited to try the SOOPUR Privacy Screen Protector for my iPhone 14 Pro. The promise of dual functionality - privacy protection AND anti-blue light - sounded like a dream come true for someone who spends way too much time staring at their phone.
The installation process was surprisingly smooth. The included guide stickers and cleaning materials made it easy to get a bubble-free application on my first try (which, let's be honest, never happens with screen protectors). The bluish-purple tint does look quite stylish, giving my phone a unique aesthetic that stands out from typical clear protectors.
Where this protector really shines is its privacy feature. Sitting directly in front of the screen, everything appears perfectly clear. But angle it just slightly to either side, and the display becomes completely obscured. I tested this at coffee shops and on public transit - no more worrying about nosy neighbors peeking at my messages!
However, there are some significant drawbacks. Like another reviewer mentioned, the screen does appear noticeably darker than with standard protectors. I found myself constantly increasing my brightness, which probably negates some of the battery-saving benefits. Also, while the anti-fingerprint coating works well initially, it seems to wear off faster than I'd like.
The biggest issue? The edges just wouldn't lay completely flat on my device. No matter how carefully I applied it, there was always a slight lifting at the corners that collected dust and lint within days. For a product marketed as 'full coverage,' this was particularly disappointing.
Would I recommend it? If absolute privacy is your top priority and you don't mind sacrificing some screen brightness, it might be worth trying - especially given the affordable two-pack offering. But if you're looking for flawless edge-to-edge coverage with perfect clarity, you might want to keep shopping around.
