Okay, so I finally tried this Eye Candy mica powder for my resin table project and WOW! The Dark Ocean Blue is seriously mesmerizing. It's like capturing liquid moonlight in powder form.
Pro tip: A little goes a LONG way. I used about 2 teaspoons per batch (probably overkill) and still have tons left after two table projects. The color stays vibrant even after sanding and sealing.
Learned the hard way - pouring technique matters! Top-down gives gorgeous swirls, while bottom-up makes a more solid look. Both are beautiful but very different effects.
The powder mixes like a dream with resin - no clumps! And the shimmer? *chef's kiss* It catches light differently depending on the angle. My husband keeps randomly petting the finished table because it's so pretty.
Only wish I'd known about the temperature thing sooner - resin cures weird if it's too cold! Keep your workspace warm (75°F+). Also, do test pieces first unless you enjoy learning through happy accidents like me.
Seriously considering buying their whole color range now... this craft addiction is getting dangerous!
