As someone who constantly switches between reading, computer work, and outdoor activities, I was excited to try these photochromic progressive glasses. The promise of an all-in-one solution sounded perfect for my busy lifestyle.
The photochromic feature works decently - the lenses do darken noticeably in sunlight. However, the transition isn't as quick or dark as premium sunglasses. I found myself squinting in very bright conditions.
The multifocal aspect is where things get tricky. While convenient in theory, the vision distortion mentioned in reviews is real. It took me nearly a week to adjust to the different magnification zones, and even then, quick head movements caused dizziness. Computer work was particularly straining as my eyes struggled to find the 'sweet spot'.
On the positive side, the frame is incredibly lightweight and comfortable. The memory metal really does conform well to different face shapes without pressure points. They're so light you forget you're wearing them - until the vision issues remind you.
The blue light filtering seems effective for screen use - my eyes did feel less strained during late-night work sessions compared to regular glasses.
Ultimately, these glasses are a mixed bag. Great concept with premium comfort features let down by optical performance issues that may not suit everyone's eyes.
