I've been using the Sony 32 Inch W830K Series TV for a few weeks now, and it's been a game-changer for my small apartment setup. The 720p HD resolution might not be 4K, but the X-Reality PRO processing makes everything look crisp and vibrant. I was surprised by how good my old DVDs look on this!
The Google TV interface is where this little TV shines. It learns what I like to watch and surfaces content from all my streaming apps in one place. No more jumping between Netflix, Disney+, and Prime Video menus - though I did struggle to find PBS initially (still investigating that).
Gaming on this has been surprisingly smooth too. While testing my PS4 Pro, the Motionflow XR really eliminated blur during fast-paced action scenes. The dedicated Game mode works well, though I personally prefer the Standard picture setting for most content after tweaking the brightness down a bit.
The voice control remote is larger than expected but comfortable to use. Being able to shout 'Hey Google, turn on ESPN' while making dinner has become my new lazy luxury. Though fair warning - setting up all the smart features might be challenging for less tech-savvy users.
At just 11 pounds, I've already moved this TV between my bedroom and living room twice during movie nights. The built-in speakers deliver decent sound for its size, though serious audiophiles will want external speakers.
While most functions work flawlessly, I did notice occasional audio sync issues when switching cable channels - something to consider if you're using external devices heavily. But for streaming and gaming? This compact Sony delivers way beyond its size class.
