Just installed the Emerson 70 Series thermostat and I'm pretty impressed! The large display is super easy to read, which is great since my eyesight isn't what it used to be. Installation was a breeze - took me about 30 minutes even though I'm not exactly a handyman.

The programming is straightforward enough for my needs. I just wanted something to adjust temps twice a day (morning and night) and this handles that perfectly. Love that it came with batteries too - nice touch!

One minor complaint: the packaging could've been better. The box arrived completely open at both ends - lucky nothing was missing or damaged. Not a dealbreaker, but Emerson should really tape their boxes.

The temperature control seems accurate so far, and I appreciate being able to set different schedules for weekdays vs weekends. It's already helping with energy savings since I can program lower temps when we're out of the house.

Overall, if you need basic programmable functionality without smart home complexity, this is a solid choice at a reasonable price point.
