I recently threw a birthday party for my cat, Whiskers, and this Ushang Pet Birthday Hat & Bandana Set was the star of the show. The moment I opened the package, I was impressed by the quality—the stitching on the colorful candles is adorable, and the pink ruffled edge adds such a playful touch.

Whiskers isn’t usually a fan of wearing anything, but the adjustable strap on the hat kept it secure without bothering her. She even kept it on long enough for me to snap dozens of photos! The bandana, printed with 'HAPPY BIRTHDAY TO ME!', was soft and breathable, though I did have to fold it slightly to fit her snugly (she’s a 12-pound Maine Coon).

What surprised me most was how versatile this set is. It’s not just for birthdays—I can already picture Whiskers rocking it for Halloween or even a silly themed photoshoot. The hat holds its shape well, and the bandana washed easily after she inevitably got cake frosting on it.

The only minor drawback? I wish there were more size options for larger pets (my friend’s Golden Retriever looked hilariously cramped in the medium size). But for cats and small dogs, it’s perfect. Five stars for turning Whiskers into the most dapper birthday girl in town!
