Okay, so I finally tried the MEYSPRING Pacific Blue mica powder for my resin ocean art project, and WOW – this stuff is magical! The color shift is insane depending on how the light hits it. At first I was nervous because my initial mix looked too light, but after doubling the pigment (pro tip!), it created this deep, shimmery sapphire that totally nailed the ocean vibe.
The pearlescent effect is *chef's kiss* – when swirled into epoxy, it gives this gorgeous satin texture with subtle sparkles. I used it to fill cracks in a wooden tabletop (RIP storm-fallen oak tree), and now it looks like tiny glowing tide pools! Also love that it's non-toxic since I definitely got some on my hands (oops).
Only thing? There's a learning curve with how much to use. My first attempt looked more 'baby blue' than 'Pacific depths', but once I figured out the ratio, BAM – instant underwater fantasy. Already ordered their other ocean shades because apparently now I'm a mica powder addict? 10/10 would resin again.
